FSCJ
At Florida State College at Jacksonville, my role expanded from student intern to a divisional lead content and multimedia role and, later, Adjunct Professor of Digital Media, allowing me to shape student-facing storytelling across the institution. I created hundreds of digital and print assets in support of academic departments, diversity initiatives, and engagement campaigns, while leading multimedia projects and developing inclusive, strategic messaging. That experience now informs my teaching, where I design hands-on, media-rich learning environments grounded in professional creative workflows.

FSCJ Video Production Work
THE ART OF THE MOVIE POSTER: I produced this instructional video as part of my digital media design curriculum to explore the history and visual language of movie poster design. The piece examines key design principles and iconic styles while challenging students to reinterpret modern films through a vintage lens.
I developed all visual elements—including motion graphics and video editing—in Adobe Premiere Pro, authored the original script, and used text-to-speech AI for narration to maintain a polished, professional tone while preserving instructional clarity and creative intent.
FACULTY SPOTLIGHT with MARQ MERVIN: As part of a faculty spotlight initiative, I directed and produced this video in FSCJ’s on-campus television studio through a collaboration between the Digital Media Program and Student Engagement. I served as director, interviewer, and videographer, and completed all post-production work—including editing, color correction, and custom title graphics—to create a polished and engaging feature highlighting faculty expertise and impact.
ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT with Rose Francois: Created to strengthen alumni engagement, this spotlight video features FSCJ alumna Rose Francois and her work with Year Up. Filmed in the college’s television studio, I led the interviewing, directing, and videography, and handled all post-production—including editing, color correction, and title graphics—to deliver a compelling alumni story that reinforced FSCJ’s mission and community connections.
Guest Instructor Featuring Sidiki Conde: Earlier in my career, I collaborated with FSCJ’s video production teams to film and edit a feature on guest instructor Sidiki Conde, a West African immigrant and interpretive dance teacher who shares culture and storytelling through movement. Disabled since age 14, Mr. Conde teaches with the philosophy that dance is accessible to everyone. The project combined human-centered storytelling with technical video production and was later recognized by the college, ultimately leading to my transition into a full-time creative role supporting Student Engagement initiatives.
Student Government Association Seal, Logo and Branding | 2018
Despite more than 50 years of history, Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Student Government Association had never established an official seal. I led the development of the SGA seal and logo, conducting design research to ensure the final mark aligned with peer institutions while remaining distinct to FSCJ. The identity incorporated elements from the college’s BlueWave athletic branding and broader visual system, resulting in a cohesive, credible mark that continues to represent student leadership across the institution.
Student Engagement Department | 2017 - 2019
Within the Student Engagement Department at Florida State College at Jacksonville, I functioned as the primary content and creative lead supporting student-facing initiatives and campus-wide messaging. I developed a wide range of print and digital materials—including posters, flyers, brochures, and newsletters—designed to promote programs, events, and services while maintaining consistency with the college’s brand standards. This work balanced clarity, accessibility, and visual engagement to effectively connect with a diverse student audience.
Diversity and Social Change Office Annual Report | 2018 - 2019
I led the design and visual storytelling for the annual report for the Office of Diversity and Social Change at Florida State College at Jacksonville, an initiative focused on inclusivity education, cultural awareness, and equity for underrepresented student communities. I developed the full report layout and visual system to clearly communicate the office’s mission, programs, and outcomes to faculty, staff, senior administration, and the Board of Trustees, translating complex initiatives into an accessible, polished publication that reflected the importance and impact of the work.
Diversity Awareness Poster Campaigns | 2017-2018
For the Office of Diversity and Social Change at Florida State College at Jacksonville, I led the creative development of a series of Diversity Awareness poster campaigns, including I Don’t Say and I Am an Immigrant. These portrait-driven campaigns featured FSCJ athletes, faculty, staff, and students, and were designed to foster empathy, cultural awareness, and dialogue across campus. I directed the full creative process—from organizing and leading photoshoots and studio lighting, to photographing subjects, retouching images, and designing final layouts—resulting in cohesive, high-impact visuals used throughout the college.
Diversity and Social Change | 2017-2019
During the formation of FSCJ’s Student Engagement department, I played a central role in establishing the communications and visual identity for the Office of Diversity and Social Change at Florida State College at Jacksonville. I helped define the office’s messaging, design language, and visual systems, producing a wide range of assets—including logos, apparel, informational displays, reports, presentations, posters, and handouts. Together, these materials created a cohesive, recognizable brand that supported inclusive programming and strengthened engagement with students, faculty, and the broader campus community.
